Vilnius and Gedimino

My B&B host was generous enough to collect me at the train station in Vilnius, and we drove to the flat. Very friendly and genuine host! Also, the flat was super nice and spacious with a view across the city. I thought the boat bed was a unique feature! Despite the coolness of the place, I knew I wouldn't be spending very much time there aside from sleeping.






The host is a professional simultaneous translator who had impressive command of the English language, and offered insightful suggestions of what to do in and around Vilnius.

I like to experience a city on foot, and so one of the first things I did was go for stroll throughout the old town.












After the stroll and some lunch, I climbed to the top of Gedimino tower for a panoramic overview of Vilnius old town and the surrounding area.
