Kraków

An experienced traveller I met last month in Ireland passionately suggested I visit Kraków, so I folded Poland into my itinerary. Glad I did. Kraków is a charming city with tumultuous history and great character. The entire Kraków old town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and it's clear why. Warm weather pervailed throughout my stay.

The Dragon of Kraków actually blows fire from time to time, as shown below.

This woman I ran into was a bit dry, kinda stiff, and lacked a good sense of humor, but she did have a cool hat.

I discovered a very authentic Italian restaurant. This may be the only time I've ever ordered from an Italian menu in Italian (the items are listed in Italian and Polish) where the server did not understand me! Kinda funny. Both days I ate there I spent in their lovely, spacious and peaceful outdoor garden.
